Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer who is known for his distinctive mixture of soul gospel, R&B as well as R&B. Avery Sunshine has appeared on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe, as well as her appearance at the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's given the name of Denise White. She is now a resident of Atlanta she was born in Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical journey began in the church, where she sang and played piano. Her music career started in Atlanta while attending Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals, Stalk You the House was released only in Japan. It's been remixed numerous times and has become a staple in her live performance. She has also contributed her voice to the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. In 2005 she was hired as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- and Tony Award winning vocalist who has worked on stage production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, approached her to serve as the choral leader for this theatrical production. Sunshine was brought to the attention of all of the country during 4 performances a day during 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine followed up with being asked to sing in the presence of the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
